Pumpkin

( Cucurbita pepo )

Plant Detail

Features

Trellised pumpkin vines are a terrific way to grow pumpkins in a small space or just to contain the sprawling vines from other areas of the garden. Pumpkins are super fun to grow, and add color to the landscape when they can be viewed at eye level rather than hidden under foliage. Trellis-grown pumpkins are usually more consistently shaped and evenly colored since they aren’t growing on the flat ground.

Uses

Perfect for indoor and outdoor autumn decoration. Excellent for carving or painting. Superb for making delicious pies and roasted seed snacks. Wash fruits, vegetables and herbs thoroughly before eating.
