Cauliflower

( Brassica oleracea )

Plant Detail

Features

Self-Blanching cauliflower is a great way to enjoy cauliflower with minimal work. In autumn the leaves curl up with the cooler weather to help shelter the heads and keep them snowy white and tender. If the foliage doesn’t fully cover the larger, maturing heads, just pull some of the outer leaves over the head and clip them with a clothes pin or tie with twine.

Uses

Delicious when lightly steamed and covered with cheese sauce or melted butter. Slice raw into salads or cook. Serve with dip on a vegetable tray. Wash fruits, vegetables and herbs thoroughly before eating.
