Metarhizium is a biopesticide containing green muscardine fungus. It is widely used for control of crops such as pests root weevils, plant hopers, Japanese beetle, black vine weevil, spittlebug, termites and white grubs. It is commonly and widely distributed fungus with a wide host range. The fungal spores germinate, penetrate the cuticle and colonize inside the pest. Method of Application Foliar Spray (planthoppers and bugs): Mix metarhizium @ 3 Litres or 1.5 kg/acre in 200 Litres of water (i.e 8 gm per litre of water). Soil Application and drip irrigation(for root grubs): metarhizium can be applied around the root-zone by drenching. Alternatively, metarhizium at the recommended rate can be mixed with organic fertilizer or field soil and can be applied uniformly
